Gradwanderung is not a spelling mistake, but a composition of the words Grad (Celsius) and Wanderung. The shaped and glazed clay, which is the focus of this exhibition, has to be fired at very high temperatures in order to achieve its final hardness and strength. The hike points to the subsequent exhibition of the final works.
